The history of credit risk management is currently experiencing historic milestones in the COVID-19 pandemic. The role of credit risk management is receiving increased attention in the digitalization of the operative working world. More than 600 attendees joint the SCHUMANN conference held on 1st October 2020. Videos are now available!

Whereas before the Corona crisis, the technical focus was on modern data science, artificial intelligence, API and blockchain, we are currently seeing a trend towards linking the market participants in the credit risk supply chain and the use of technologies that are already mature for accelerating digitization. What could be more obvious than to discuss central platforms for digital solutions in cooperation with all market participants in the credit risk management industry.
“The discussion was embedded in numerous highlights on innovations that support groundbreaking developments of technical platforms by using SCHUMANN partner networks”, said Robert Meters, SCHUMANN Head of Financial Services & Global Business and moderator at the SCHUMANN conference.
Representatives of the Receivables Finance Industry, such as TARGOBANK AG and BFS finance GmbH, recognize the great potential of solutions for digital onboarding processes with integrated KYC and fraud prevention processes, credit risk monitoring and a targeted use of API-linked global data sources for successful AI supported data analysis and decision engines.
Since the beginning of SCHUMANN's operations, the closest cooperation with Trade Credit Insurances (TCI) had the highest value. What is more obvious than letting TCI itself have its say? Mike Holley (Nexus Underwriting), Stuart Lawson (Aon Credit International EMEA), Rob Nijhout (ICISA), and Paul Cannon (Swiss Re) discussed at the SCHUMANN conference an outlook on the industry's risk strategy throughout the crisis period, availability of capacity going forwards and technical underwriting methodology of credit insurers. TCI have a key role to play in the current economic crisis and the second lockdown wave, which is already in full swing.
