  1. Bob Trojan

    Bob Trojan

    Mr. Trojan, Senior Advisor at NatLaw, is an international commercial lending and disruptive technology expert, thought leader and speaker. He is Founder and CEO of Token Insights, his advisory firm that specializes in global strategy, FinTech, RegTech, and regulatory/legislative affairs. He is a Mentor with the FinTech71 and The Venture Center accelerators and the IconiqLab blockchain accelerator. From 2012-2017, Mr. Trojan was the CEO of the Commercial Finance Association (CFA), the global trade organization representing 250+ banks and finance companies in the asset based lending, supply chain finance, trade finance, and factoring business. CFA members represented approximately $600 Billion in this type of financing each year. Mr. Trojan also serves as official Observer on three UN Working Groups (Secured Transactions, MSME Finance, and Insolvency), was appointed to advise the US Secretary of Commerce on its Trade Finance Advisory Council, and engages regularly with the international community including the World Bank and APEC, among others.
  2. Erik Timmermans

    Erik Timmermans

    Founder of World of Open Account. Erik was Secretary General of IFG from 2005 till 2015. He played a key role in the merger between IFG and FCI on 31/12/15. Post-merger Erik was Deputy Secretary General of FCI till 31/12/2017. He started his career in the factoring industry with International Factors Belgium in 1982. In 2008 he initiated the EU Federation for Factoring & Commercial Finance (EUF) of which he was Chairman (2016-2018). In March 2018 he received both the Life Time Achievement Award at the BCR RFIx conference and the Leadership in Receivables Finance Award at the Business Money Awards Dinner.

    John Brehcist

    John Brehcist is an acknowledged expert in the Receivables Finance world. Previously the Head of Strategy for Lloyds TSB Commercial Finance, for over ten years he has run his successful roundwindow consultancy business working with clients (from start-ups to established leaders, from emerging to developed markets) in over twenty countries, offering impartial advice and constructive support on strategy, marketing, operations, people, risk and fraud control. He has combined this with taking a range of non-exec director roles, been Director of Advocacy at FCI and is the Coordinator of the EU Federation for Factoring and Commercial Finance and since September 2019 a key member of the team at World of Open Account, WOA. John has an MA from Oxford and an MBA from Warwick. He is a well-known author, lecturer and conference presenter.

    Michael Boguslavsky

    Michael leads the AI team at London-based fintech startup, Tradeteq. The firm uses AI to facilitate supply chain predictive analysis, transaction level credit scoring, and portfolio composition. Tradeteq is at the centre of industry efforts to transform trade finance into an investable asset class. Its technology is being explored by some of the world’s largest banks, hedge funds, asset managers, insurance companies and trade associations. Michael is responsible for applying cutting-edge machine learning techniques to make trade finance more transparent, predictable and fair. Previously, Michael worked as a quantitative researcher, structurer, and derivatives trader for a number of City firms, including Merrill Lynch and ABN Amro. He holds a PhD in Mathematics from University of Amsterdam.

    Paul Trueman

    Paul Trueman is Senior Vice President of Cyber and Intelligence at Mastercard. He works with his teams to enhance solutions for consumers, merchants, partners and governments around the world. Working with leading academic institutions such as MIT, Tufts University and Oxford University he is involved in modelling economic trends on Trust and Digital Evolution as well as enabling solutions on Cybersecurity, AI and Digital Identity. He is also a regular speaker at industry events. Prior to joining Mastercard Paul worked for LG Electronics as Group Marketing director, with Cadbury Schweppes as Global Innovation director and with Mars in both marketing and production roles.

    Head of International Asset Based Lending (ABL) at DLA Piper UK, Steven Geerlings concentrates on structuring cross-border asset-based lending transactions and work-out strategies. His client base includes all major players in the European ABL market, ranging from Dutch and UK clearing banks, various clearing banks in other EU member states and subsidiaries of US banks, to other regulated and unregulated financial institutions. Steven is recognized as being one of the leading advisers in the European market.
